Charlie Young Beach Snorkel Info
Charlie Young Beach is located north of the Kamaole Beaches. there is a parking lot a block away on S. Kihei Rd. the each is named after the owner who left his hose out so people could wash their feet. eventually he constructed a shower for the beachgoers. The small beach has a reef you can follow to the right. You will find plenty of fish among the coral . We always find large turtles swimming by with some stopping for a nibble.

Directions: the beach is located just north of Kamaole Beach . You will see a parking lot off of South Kihei across from Maui Vist Condos. Park and walk down the street to the beach.
Parking: There is a nice public free parking lot .There are showers but no rest rooms .
Where to snorkel: Entry is easy with lots of sand. Follow the reef to the right to see the most fish and some coral. Further out along the reef you can find plenty of large turtles. you can continue all around the reef if it isn't too choppy.
What to look for: A fair amount of fish can be found and plenty sea turtles. The water was very clear at shore. Once a huge turtle ran into my blind side (I was looking for him, but didn't know where he was)
Other Info: this is a great place to spend the dat. You can find plenty of restaurants within walking distance and many other shops.
