Underwater turtle at OlowaluOlowalu also known as Mile Marker 14, is an interesting area. The beach area is a well protected by a reef that stretches for miles, with a massive maze of beautiful live coral. At mile marker 14 there is a sandy channel that makes it a good snorkel spot for kids and beginners. You can swim out 500 feet from shore and only be knee high in water. Be careful not to stand or bump the coral, as some areas can get shallow in low tide. There is a decent amount of fish and a lot of turtles further out. About a 1/2 mile out is a turtle cleaning station.

On the other side of the road you can hike up to a site with ancient petroglyphs.
