Kahekili Beach (Old Airport Beach)

Kahekili beach, named after the last Hawaiian ruler of Maui before the islands were united, is a beautiful sandy beach north of Ka'anapali. The beach is as good as Ka'anapali but without the crowd, and plenty of parking. Also known as Old Airport Beach (Maui's west airport used to be here) Kahekili beach has a long sandy shoreline with the reef close to shore, making it perfect for first time and young snorkelers. You will see fish as soon as you enter the water. There are picnic tables, bbq pits, rest rooms and showers for use. This beach has it all without the crowds.

  Heading north on Highway 30 out of Lahaina turn left at Puukolii Rd. The large parking lot entrance will be on the left just past Kai Ala Drive.
