Nakalele Point blow hole Nakalele (which means the leaning point) is located east of Poelua Bay past Honolua Bay. It is a 1.5 mile hike on a cliff trail to the blowhole. You pass through some ironwood trees, to the lighthouse, and drop into a lava and rock area. You have beautiful views of the waves crashing the shoreline along the way. The blowhole is one of three natural blowholes in the world, and dangerous. Do not get close, as people have died here being sucked in and blown out to the rocky waves below. If you do not want to do the hike you can also view the blowhole from another parking spot further down the highway.
