Explore Kenolio Beach
Kenolio Beach, also known as Kihei Wharf, is located just south of Kihei Beach Resort. This is a long beach but very rocky. It is not suited for swimming and snorkeling, but is the home of the Kihei Outrigger Canoe Club which takes visitors out bi-weekly into the bay for early morning paddling and Hawaiian cultural immersion.
Across the street at the north end you can find the Farmers Market which offers fresh fruit, vegetables, banana bread, trinkets and more. There is also shaved ice and a bakery. The Kenolio Pak and Youth Center is located here as well.
While this beach gets too cloudy and choppy for swimming and snorkeling (the tradewinds are pretty strong), it is a great beach for exploring. This is a good spot for seaglass and other interesting rocks and shells.
