Day 7 Central Maui

Central Maui doesn't have any beaches, but plenty of attractions. The main destination is Iao Valley State Park (free admission) famous for its towering pinnacle and many hiking trails. On the way back stop at the Hawaiian Cultural Center to view the gardens and Japanese architecture. Many boat tours start out the Maaala Harbor, like the Sunset Dinner Cruise and Molokini Snorkel Tour. The Maui Ocean Center and aquarium are located at the harbor as well. The Tropical Plantation has a train tour that will take you around the plantation to view and learn about the many tropical flowers and fruits the produce.

Iao Valley

The drive to Iao Valley National Park will take you through the sugar fields up to a beautiful lush tropical valley. The park is free and has many hiking trails for all ages. The Needle is it's main attraction. Make sure to stop by the Asian Cultural Center on the way back to view scenic gardens and other points of interest. More Info...

Tropical Plantation

The Tropical Plantation is a working plantation producing avocados, macadamia nuts, pineapples, mangos, coffee, and other fruits and vegetables. There is a train take will take you on a tour of the plantation. The grounds are well kept will a lake, ducks, botanical garden and more. The gift shop sells all of their products. More Info...

Maui Ocean Center

At Maala Harbor visit the Maui Ocean Center . This is a great place for kids (and everyone else) with a great aquarium and plenty of exhibits. More Info...

Option: Sugar beach

The coastline between Maala and Kihei is known as Sugar Beach . This is all undeveloped beach mostly used by the locals. Great place for photos or just relaxing on a quiet sandy beach. More Info...

Dinner: Sunset Cruise

A popular tour on the island is the Sunset Dinner Cruise . A spacious boat serves you prime rib with all the fix ins as you cruise the bay enjoying incredible sunsets. There is plenty to eat and drink as well as entertainment. More Info... Day Seven
