Day 5 Surfing / Iao Valley
Thursday we got up early and headed west for the surf lesson. We decided to go to Wailuku and Iao Valley stopping at Mc Donalds for lobster rolls. On the drive back we visited at two more beaches to photograph.
Puamana Surfing
Thursday was the big day for Cameron's surfing lesson. We drove just south of Puamana to meet our instructor. After hiking down to our spot we had our lesson and headed to the water. Cameron was up standing on the first wave, I on the other hand was not so lucky.

Wailuku
On the way to Iao Valley we got lost and decided to drive around for a bit. We stumbled upon a pretty park with a great view of central Maui. Slide Show
Kepaniwai Park
We made it to Iao Valley Park but it was still closed for repair. right down the road was a beautiful park . Kepaniwai Park has a Japanese garden, bamboo forest, and much more. after hiking around for an hour or so we back to the condo.

Ukumehame / Papalua Beaches
There are 2 small beaches north of Sugar Beach, Ukumehame and Papalua Beach. These beaches, used mostly by locals are quiet and offer surfing and swimming.
